How can Science be connected to God?

Science and religion (source: https://www.intelligencesquaredus.org/debates/science-refutes-god) Love is an important evidence of Christian life as Paul mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 . As a Christian scientist, how any scientific activity can be connected to God's love has been my great interest. My practical question is how God's glory would be able to manifest through my scientific activities. I made three plans to find the answer. 1. Ask the Holy Spirit There might be no answer to this question since it should be experienced through my scientific works. After Jesus Christ's Resurrection, he sent us the Advocate who will guard from the evil and give us wisdom and courage to fight against the evil. The Holy Spirit would be a source of all ideas and knowledge. He knows scientific secrets which are hidden beyond any phenomenon since all beings have been created by God who sent him. I could find the best solution by asking Him whenever I get stuck in a problem d...

Purpose of Science

Beautiful structure of pyramidal neurons (Source: richerramblings.wordpress.com) What is the purpose of science? This question is too abstract. Let me explain what I meant by this question. There are countless scientists around the world, but each of them has different purpose of working in the field of science. Some scientists work for science to satisfy their voracious intellectual appetite with extraordinary talents. Some scientists are only interested in making money and funds for research and living responding to industrial or federal demands sensitively. Whatever the purpose is given, any scientist is evaluated just based on his or her scientific achievements which can be verified objectively or quantitatively. To speak bluntly, I do science owing to a variety of reasons. One of the biggest reasons is because research is the best thing I can do using my talent in math and engineering. On the other hand, it is probably the only way through which I can earn money fo...

Toward reproducible research

Knowledge sharing (source: https://futurism.com/what-is-open-science-and-why-some-researchers-want-it) Reproducibility seems to become one of hot issues in the field of neuroscience. Lots of Twitter accounts relevant to open science can be easily found. I support their endeavor to make scientific results more reproducible. Simine Vazire mentioned, "Without data transparency, assessing a study is like buying a used car without being able to look under hood." Indeed, I have built my own framework to secure reproducibility in my neuroimaging research. One way was to build a systematic structure of data storage so that any colleague can easily have access to imaging data. The other way was to make a software toolbox which provides robust functionalities for data processin...
